This year UCNC will host three satellite workshops on Reaction Systems, Quantum Computing, and Cellular Automata and Boolean Automata Networks.
The workshops take place in the same rooms as the conference, but have their own schedules and committees. Registration will be offered either for a single workshop or for the full conference (including all workshops).
Reaction Systems Workshop
Since their introduction nearly 20 years ago, reaction systems have evolved into a broad inter-disciplinary research area, driven by both biological motivations as well as the need to understand interactive computation. Research in this field is extensive and diverse, spanning theoretical foundations, applications and software tools. It encompasses many types of reaction systems, their mathematical properties, and their connections to other fields. In response to the growing interest, a series of workshops and schools on reaction systems has been established to present state-of-the-art developments, exchanging research ideas, foster new collaborations, and strengthen existing ones. Workshop on Quantum Computing and Quantum Information
The workshop will focus on discussions within its thematic scope of quantum computing and quantum information theory. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: quantum sensing, quantum materials science, quantum hardware and architectures, quantum error correction, quantum cryptography and quantum communication, quantum algorithms, quantum optimization, quantum AI, quantum bioinformatics and other relevant experimental and theoretical topics. Submissions including non-finished ideas to raise discussion are possible and indeed welcomed. In addition, well-crafted tutorials on specific topics can be accepted as contributions.

Cellular Automata and Boolean Automata Networks Workshop
The Cellular Automata and Boolean Automata Networks Workshop as part of UCNC 2026 is the workshop of the ACANCOS (Application-Driven Challenges for Automata Networks and Complex Systems) project.
The ACANCOS project and the workshop aim to lay the foundation for a solid and internationally competitive research on Automata Networks, Cellular Automata, and modelling of complex systems by these discrete models.
